Help with File Transfer Protocols:
<X>modem: This is the original protocol developed for single
file transfers on Personal Computers. Use this only
if you do not have any one of the other protocols.
It will automatically determine if you are using CRC
error correction.
<Y>modem CRC This is Chuck Foresburg's Ymodem protocol, this is
much faster than Xmodem and provides CRC error
correction scheme.
<W>indowed Xmodem: This is a protocol designed by Peter Boswell, many
communications programs such as Procomm and GT
PowerComm support this method of file transfer.
<S>EAlink: This is System Enhancements Associates protocol,
it is much faster than Xmodem and provides a smooth
transfer. This protocol also allows you to send one
or more files at a time, wildcard filenames are
supported.
<Z>modem: This is yet another protocol developed by Chuck
Foresburg. It is the fastest PC-to-PC protocol
ever developed.
